Dori Murakami is an extremely talented Japanese artist.

Dori graduated from the prestigious Jyoshibi University and is a muralist of great renown in her homeland.

Dori likens her artistic spiritual journey to one of the most famous Japanese Buddhist monks, Khobe Dashi, who traversed Japan establishing monasteries and offering enlightenment to those who sought it.

 

She has recently begun painting in the United States from homes in New York City and Laguna Beach, California.

Dori’s current works have evolved to very dramatic, vibrant abstract expressionist paintings in both oil and water colors.
